AGARTALA, Aug 1 (TIWN): Only after five days training 125 headmaster\ headmistresses were given posting. For giving posting to newer ones, around 50 existing headmaster and assistant headmaster were transferred.
The newly trained headmaster will take charge on Saturday at their respective schools. The school education department stated training of 125 newly recruited teachers and assistant teachers from July 27. The five day training was held at SIPARD. After training posting letter was handed over to them.
According to report they were posted at far-flung high schools. But still there are some schools that do not have head master or assistant headmaster. Serious question are raised from different quarters about five day training. What kind of training was imparted and how much they have learned to run a school? All the newly recruited head of schools are new; they have no knowledge to run a school. If they were given proper training it would have enable them to run the school properly.
The role and responsibilities of a school Headmaster and Headmistress are immense. With the changing teaching techniques, teachers must update themselves and adapt to changes. Proper training is must to avail maximum benefits of such training and become quality based institutional leaders.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, GOI sanctions huge amount of money to bring quality education in the country, but here the scenario of education system has a different story.
Though various schemes and projects under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) are pouring in, they would be of little benefit if the head of an institution is not capable of managing a school, according to educationist.
The training programmed provides basic training on personality development, effective discipline skills, and classroom management skills
