KAMALPUR, July 25 (TIWN): Police achieved success in busting a conspiracy to spread fake Indian currency notes in the local markets here at Salema on Friday afternoon.
SDPO Uttam Banik and OC Salema Poushdhan Rupini led the raid jointly in which two youths of Kailasahar were nabbed with 92, 000 fake currency and a bike.According to police, the SDPO and the OC stretched their net acting on a tip-off at Saikarbari and Latiabill separately at around 4-30 pm.
During the raid, according to the information police stopped a black colored Bajaj pulsar bearing number TR-02-B-5935 and after searching got 92, 000 fake India currency all in fake notes of 500 denominations. Police arrested the bike riders namely Bapi Mia and Abul Hussain and also seized the bike.This success of police created much sigh of relief among the concerned officials.
