UDAIPUR, July 25 (TIWN): Matabari block Congress on Friday staged a mass demonstration at Jamjari Gram Panchayat after a list of 108 families have been forwarded from Kakrabon CDPO officer to Jamjari Gram Panchayat where the block congress has complained that among the list some families are there who come under BPL.

According to them, the list 108 families which have been forwarded for the office of CDPO, there are some BPL beneficiaries whose name have been omitted and brought under the APL category. To their concern, the BPL families which have been running under the BPL facilities for prolonged years with sudden decision will affect their livelihood.

Omitting of names of the APL families who were getting benefits under BPL facility will not be affected. But the names which are listed out despite of coming under BPL will highly hamper their livelihood.

Further, they also complained that the salaries of 42 daily wages labourer have been discontinued. After several complains made by the concern labours to the Panchayat and BDO till day no result has been come up yet.

They also complained about the irregularities of Food Security Bill.

The protest had started from 10 am in the morning and continued till 4 pm in the evening.

MLA Pranajit Singha Roy, Panchayat Upa-pradhan Subrata Das, former pradhan of Jamjari Panhayat and present leader of congress Mishad Miya were present at the protest.
