AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): The Agartala Municipal Corporation has procured a hydraulic pole vehicle and had deployed it at Agartala street as a part of trial run to repair the electric pole cables and street lights. For the first of its kind the Delhi based company agreeing to the proposal of Tripura government had brought the vehicle to facilitate the working procedure of the AMC, said official.
The official said that the first of its kind vehicle is brought with a cost of Rs. 9 lakhs 61 thousands. As of now only one such vehicle was brought but later finding the possibility and exploring requirement the AMC would plan to procure some more hydraulic pole vehicles.
The main function of the vehicle is to repair electric cables, street lights and others in the electric poles in and around the municipality areas. The vehicle can lift its machines and other equipments to at least 10 to 12 meter in an upward direction which would ease the AMC and its working procedures towards maintain and repairing the electric cables, wires and street lights, official said.
The official also said that currently the vehicle is undergoing trial run in and around the city and the staffs would be trained prior to the full fledged functioning of the vehicle.
