AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): The monsoon session of Tripura Assembly is scheduled to commence from August 7. It will be a brief session which will be concluded within four working days.
An ultimate decision was taken in a meeting at the state cabinet. The notification for the Assembly session will be issued in the name of the governor by the end of this month.
The opposition had been clamoring for an early monsoon session to discuss issues of chit fund scam; Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan RMSA and Bishalgarh block scam in which crores of government funds had been embezzled.
However, the sources had confirmed that the issues of embezzlement of money, scandals by the state government will be discussed during the budget session.
It is to be mentioned here that the newly elected MLA of Pratapgarh and Surma Constituency Ramu Das and Anjan Das will attend the session for the first time.
