AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): In order to improve the traffic system in the capital, a prohibitory order has been released by police super of West District under Tripura Police Act 2007. According to Tripura Act No.6 of 2007 the protest by the public or by any organization will not be entertained any more.
Before organizing any kind of protest or rally, the concern organization or the group of people has to give prior information that is before 48 hours, informed an official of Police Super office. It has been mentioned that before organizing the protest, the time, date, place or road and the estimated number of people who will participate must be informed to the Police Super Office of west District.
The order has already been enforced in areas which come under the West District of the state. If any organization or public who are willing to go for any kind of protest and found neglecting the order, the police authority will make sure that the concern group or organization gets severe punishment under Tripura Police Act 2007 [6].
The order will continue till December 31, 2015, confirmed officials of Police Super office under West District.
The order has been enforced to control the traffic disruption in the city after a protest or rally has been staged resulting aggression among the pedestrians, rickshaw pullers, drivers of various vehicles. This obviously creates serious problems such as unnecessary traffic holdup and minor fender bender incidences.
The students get late on the way to the schools and universities. The working class people get late to reach the office which creates aggression and chaos during the office hour.
Reduce in traffic jam would help the public to move without any chaos and prevent the tradition to reaching late in the offices and schools.
