AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): In a terrible incident, a bike rider died on Tuesday after his bike collided with a sand truck on the way from Rajchaltai to Binoncobra.
The incident took place 6 km away from Bodhjungnagar Police Station.
The bike bearing the registration number TR-01S-6595 which was on the way to Binoncobra collided with a sand truck bearing the registration number TR-01A-1572, confirmed OC Santanu Debbarma.
When the bike rider was taken to the hospital the doctor declared him as dead.
The truck driver along with his co-driver was admitted to the hospital and presently are in critical condition, said Debbarma.
The deceased bike rider was identified as Allindia Debbarma (29), a resident of Binoncobra under Mandai Police Station. Besides, Apollo Debbarma (20), resident of Rajchaltai and Amrit Debbarma (19), resident of Binoncobra are the truck drivers, confirmed Debbarma.
Interestingly, when the Bodhjungnagar fire service crews went to rescue the victims, five fire fighters injured after the Fire Service water tender collapsed in an agricultural farm land on Tuesday morning.
The water tender was bearing the registration number TR-01B-0856.
The fire-fighters were admitted to GB hospital. The hospital authority has discharged four of them on Tuesday; driver of the Fire Service Sajal Kanti Das is still admitted in the hospital as he have critical injuries.
