AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Director General of Police (DGP) K. Nagaraj on Monday saying that the police constables are the foundation of policing, had urged the trainee constables to maintain dignity once they are in their duty.
Nagaraj was addressing the inaugural programme of three newly constructed buildings of 100 Men Barrack, Officers’ Institute and Cadet Mess.
Nagaraj also urged the trainee constables to adopt proper training from the institutes opened for them and develop their professional skill towards offering dignified attitude to the public.
However, training of the newly recruited police constables had kicked off from June 15 this year whereas as part of the infrastructural development these three buildings were constructed under the 13th Finance Commission Award.
Besides, KTD Singh Police Training Academy has been upgraded from police training college on September 17, 2011 with a view to impart basic training.
To mark the Vanamahotsav, the academy on Monday also planted more than 700 saplings of different flowerings and fruit bearing trees.
Besides, DGP IGP (Police Control) the Academy Principal Sankar Debnath also remained present during the programme on Monday.
