KAMALPUR, July 13 (TIWN): In the scorching heat-wave of late summer, the conventional notion of sun day being fun day changed completely changed here at Kamalpur. And this change occurred due to the courtesy of TSECL, Kamalpur Division. Almost every Sunday, the TSECL authority announced of conducting maintenance works of power supply lines and hence the people under Kamalpur sub-division, Manik bhander sub-division and Durga chowmuhani sub-division had to enjoy (!) power-less ‘black’ days.

This tradition being continued for last two or three months serve the people a minimum of two or three ‘black’ Sundays to the people. And still a little shower or a mild wind gifted the people with power-cut. Moreover, the mid-night load shedding became a common feature here. Then what works the engineers and contractors remained busy with on Sundays became a serious question. And an enquiry into the matter revealed a stunning truth.

According to the authentic sources, the TSECL Kamalpur division and sub-division authorities often report the TSECL top brass about faulty connectivity lines and hence urged for maintenance. To strengthen their view, they gifted the people with almost regular mid-night load shedding. The officials and the staffs residing at quarters never suffered in load shedding. Then, after passing a power-less Sunday and showing much hurly-burly to the commoners, they prepared and sent huge bills of maintenance. But why the public should suffer for their ill-motifs became the question here.
