AGARTALA/SONAMURA, July 11 (TIWN): Training workshop has been started at Nalchar Bamboo Based Community Production Center, Tripura (in conjunction with ILFS), with 40 participants with the initiatives of Tripura Govt. on Friday with an aim to develop the bamboo sector in the state in a holistic manner.

 It’s to be mentioned that Tripura Bamboo Mission is a praiseworthy initiative of the Government of Tripura to develop Equipments, handed over after demonstration to SHGs. Shoot processing activity has since commenced by these JFMCs.

 Many Lamp productions are already in progress at Nalchar Bamboo Bassed Community Production center. Skill up gradation programmed for local youth mainly for women on various aspects of Bamboo furniture making is one of the major objectives of this Unit.

 Several trainings have been organized and one Self Help Groups from trained youths have been formed to facilitate their earning through bamboo based furniture & handicraft making activity.

 The products manufactured in the unit have already got appreciation for their unique designs. This Nalchar Bamboo Based Community Production center has achieved success to a considerable extent in Tripura to meet the huge demand for green gold.
