AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): Finally the Tripura’s Left front government has come closure to the TATA group which is all set to offer a ray of hope for the people of land-locked state. With an aim to set up three projects under the Fishery, Animal Resource Development Department (ARDD) and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) retired industrialist Ratan TATA would arrive here in Tripura on July 9.
Ratan Tata would arrive here in the state on July 9 and would sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tripura Left front government, said Chief Secretary Yashpal Singh on Tuesday.
He will arrive by a chartered flight and would hold a meeting with the state government officials in presence of Chief Secretary Y P Singh.
Singh said, “The TATA group aims to replicate the best practises in fishery here in Tripura and would open diary firm at Ambassa under the Animal Resource Development Department (ARDD).” The renowned company would also open skill development training at Agartala Indranagar and Ambassa Industrial Development Training (ITI), Singh said.
Adding to that Chief Secretary said, “The three project work would be entirely funded by the TATA whereas the State Government would be the only facilitator for this three.” The TATA group had already set up its office here in Agartala.
Ratan Tata along with executives would arrive here on July 9 to explore the business possibilities and investments with an aim to bring a boon for the state’s economy also.
However, it is expected that with finally the Tripura government managed to come closure to the TATA group a fresh ray of hope would also emerge as the gateway to northeast and Bangladesh.
