BELONIA, June 29 (TIWN): A 55-year old farmer died after being attacked by a swarm of bees outside his house on Sunday mid-night.
Rakhal Gope (55), a resident of Durgapur village of Belonia Sub-Division under P. R Bari Police Station who is a farmer by profession went out to collect Jackfruit leaves for his goat. While chopping down the leaves from the tree, the farmer unnoticingly chopped down the bee nest.
After the nest was chopped, a swarm of bees attacked Rakhal brutally on Sunday evening. Seeing the pathetic condition of farmer the locals took him to the Borpathori Hospital.
The doctor of Borpathori Hospital seeing his condition referred him to the Belonia Hopital. From there the doctors referred Rakhal to the Gomati District Hospital. Then his wife along with one son and four daughters took him to the Gomati hospital but failed to save his life.
Rakhal took his last breath at Gomati Hospital on Sunday Mid-night. Later the police team took body for post-mortem.
