KHOWAI, June 24 (TIWN): On yet another breakdown the high-tech robbers emerging here in Tripura had managed to target Gramin Bank branch this time. The incident occurred on Monday mid-night at Mohanpur Kalachara Tripura Gramin Bank branch after a group of miscreants managed to enter the bank and looted a hefty amount.
Several bank documents and handsome cash were looted on Monday night. According to the bank officials who witnessed the incident on Tuesday morning the miscreants tried to take the lockers inside the bank office but they failed as a result finding no alternative the miscreants managed to loot the cash from the office drawers.
However later on Tuesday the branch manager Tapas Kumar Roy had issued a written complaint with the Sidhai Police Station following which the police carried their investigation to the case but has failed to detain the miscreants yet now.
Reportedly, the miscreants also managed to rob another jewellery shop adjacent to the bank. According to the owner of the shop the miscreant robbed the jewelleries worth rupees three lakhs and thirty thousands.
