AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): Tripura State Government Undertaking EPF Pensioner’s Association on Monday placed three charters of Demands to Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC) Managing Director.
Talking tough Subash Chandra Majumder, General Secretary said that they were demanding to pay the pending amount of the earnings of the retired employees that is around Rs. 4 crores from the TRTC. The association also demanded to resume them pension facility which was stopped earlier. They asked to resume the amount from November 16, 1995.
They further urged to implement the leave encashment from November 16, 1995. Detailing about the leave encashment, Subash Chandra Majumder, General Secretary said that around Rs. 2 lakhs are pending at the TRTC. He further said that despite working days and nights for the TRTC and even during the working holidays the retired staffs are deprived from their salary at large.
However, he stated that the concern Authority has asked for 15days and if in these days they do not take any action then the association will be bound to sit for mass demonstration.
