AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): The Rose valley scam had rocked the entire Left ruled state and the Govt. here managed to uproot many Non Banking Financial companies (NBFCs) from the state, the fraudulent activities of the NBFC yet today rooted here prevails. The office of the District Magistrate and Collector (DM) has recently received many complaints from the investors against some NBFCs, which were rooted in the state.
Talking to TIWN on Wednesday DM (West) Dr. Milind Ramteke said, “I have received many complaints from some small investors in connection with cheating and fraud by NBFCs and other un-incorporated bodies.”
However the concerned authorities are now preparing to take action against such entities under the Tripura Protection of Interest of Depositors Act 2000, said Ramteke.
But, on Wednesday the administration on its notification No.F.2(6)/DM/W/SS/2015/3728-29 had asked the complainers to mention their residential address and contact numbers.
Ramteke said that the complainers had not mentioned some necessary requirements, due to which the authority is facing difficulty in processing such complaints.
It’s to be mentioned here that in complaint against the section of rooted NBFCs here in the state, Tripura Pradesh Congress’s 200 workers’ ‘dharna’ at New Delhi on June 17 is all set to rock the state again.
Congress workers would also meet the President of India on June 16 and would hold a meeting with the Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on 15th June.
It is also mentionable here that despite repeated request of the state government to the depositors not to invest any amount in the NBFCs here in the state except Post Office and Banks, a section of people of the state yet today tempted to invest their money in those chit fund companies.
