AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): Apart from smuggling of ganja and heroin, these days smuggling of pharmaceutical drugs are among the latest rage. Recently, the Capital is emerged as one of the major hub for this kind of unlawful trade.

Tripura Police on Wednesday revealed that based on the information of their secret source at around 12:30 pm G. B out post Police hopped in to the house of Tutan Dey (40).

During the search, a total of Rs. 70, 000 to Rs. 60, 000 of drugs along with more than Rs. 1 lakh of bullets were seized by the Police.

The drugs include 2, 500 quantity of Nitrogen-10 and Spasmo proxyvon plus, along with 6 bullets. They seized suspected gun powders. It has been revealed that the illegal trade has prospered mainly because of a huge profit margin involved in the smuggling of such drugs.

Tutan Dey who is a resident of 79 Tilla is professionally a water drum distributer.  Further, interrogation will be done.
