AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): With an aim to provide the public free health coaching classes and to reach out to the people of remote localities, the 2bn TSR on June 7 inaugurated a Fitness club.
The Fitness club was inaugurated by Director General of Police (DGP) K. Nagraj. During the inauguration programme, a health camp and blood donation camp were also observed. Altogether 250 common people were treated at free of cost and were provided with free medicines. This health camp aims at promoting health seeking behaviour in the long term.
Like a general curative health camp, this camp also majorly works on building awareness regarding common ailments, family planning methods, nutrition and hygiene and sanitation. This camp provided comprehensive health services at free of cost.
Doctors and medical staff attended more than 250 patients in the health camp and distributed free medicines among poor villagers, said DGP K. Nagraj.
While addressing the crowd, Director General of Police (DGP) K. Nagraj said that along with the providing training to the TSR, the fitness camp will also provide free of cost training to the local people residing in the area.
Along with by Director General of Police (DGP) K. Nagraj, IG Law and Order Anurag were also present at the programme.
