AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): A 32-year-old man rapped his own elder sister at her in-laws house taking the advantage of the situation when everyone in the house was in sleep on June 6.

Detailing about the incident, Police sources said that the incident took place at around 3:00 am in Rupchara Gokul Sardar Para, under Ranir Bazar P.S at victim’s in-laws house. The 35-year-old rape victim was in sleep when her own brother (Parichaye Das) jumped in the room, through the window. Both their houses are nearby.

Unknown of her brother’s presence, she thought him to be her husband. Further, the victim said that as the weather was very hot her husband was sleeping on the floor. Taking the advantage of the situation, accused carried out the heinous crime.

The police sources further confirmed that the victim belongs to a very poor family. They cannot even afford a fan to get release of this burning hot summer. Therefore, they usually keep the windows open.

The victim’s further stated that she never expected her brother to come up with such heinous act. This incident has mark a black spot over the brother and sister relation.  

Manik Monda (40), victim’s husband lodge a FIR against the victim’s brother. Accuse Parichaye Das has been arrested.

However, he finally accepted his crime.
