AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): General Manager Sujan Krishna Roy of Pran Industry on June 3 announced to invest more Rs. 150 crores for the extension of the industry with an aim to generate employment rate, through a press meet held at Press Club.
He further enhanced that this initiatives have been taken to benefit the people of Tripura creating employment for them. Moreover, the industry has been taking the raw materials from the land of Tripura which has been also benefiting the farmers and the other investor’s indirectly.
Detailing about the issue, he said that in the last two-years an estimate of Rs. 50 crores have been invested in this unit and now it has started a partial commercial production of Potato crackers, snacks items, Dry cake, bread and noodles.
At present 500 workers has been employed in the factory, mostly the local peoples are benefited from it. It has been also indirectly creating earning opportunities for the youth resulting in improved living standards.
