AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) had called for nationwide strike on June24 pressing various demands of the State Sector Bank Employees Association (SSBEA). SBEA, under its umbrella, has various unions of associate banks of SBI like State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Hyderabad and State Bank of Mysore and the like, which are also associated with AIBEA.
The demands include delinking associate banks from SBI, not curbing right of trade unions’ right of representation, extension of compassionate appointment scheme as per government guidelines, increase in quantum of staff housing loan, recruitment of sub-staff and part-time employees and resolving pending demands.
Everyone is aware that employees and officers in the banking sector are doing their best to serve the customers and implement various schemes of the government despite innumerable hardships and difficulties. Yet, the genuine demand for adequate wage revision is being delayed and denied
