UDAIPUR, May 30 (TIWN): Two convicted in a gang-rape of a minor girl at Habuq Maakami area under Udaipur Killa PS were on Friday awarded 12years rigorous imprisonment by Udaipur court.

Udaipur District and Session Court judge Ashish Paul also fined them of Rs. 20, 000 each, if failed then they would serve another 6 month of rigorous imprisonment. 15witness on Friday, depose before the court, later the court recording the statement of the witness declared the accused convicted, said sources.

The incident took place at Habuq Maakami area under Udaipur Killa PS when a 16-year minor girl went to her relative’s house along with her friends. Thereafter, Shiv Shankar Jamatia (24) and Ananda Kirti Jamatia (23) jump into the house and beaten all of them and dragged the minor to the rubber garden. Further, she informed her family about the incident and filed a FIR against the two rape accused at Killa PS, said sources

According to the sources report, the police arrested the accused on the same day and forwarded them to the Udaipur court.

However, the families of the victims are now satisfied that finally the accused are going to be punished.
