AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Tripura delegates comprising of State DWS Minister Ratan Bhowmik along with other officials of the state tourism department would leave for Bangladesh on May 20 to attend 5th International Tourism Festival at Dhaka.
The three days long festival would begin from May 21 at Dhaka Bangabandhu International Conference Centre. The festival is organised by Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism development (BFTD).
Talking to the reporters here at the civil secretariat on Tuesday Minister Ratan Bhowmik said that Tripura would set up 2 stalls at the festival at Dhaka. The stalls would be set up Tripura Tourism Corporation.
He also said that on May 21 department of the state along with Minister would hold a meeting with the Bangladesh Minister for Tourism taking up the issue of the package tour and VISA problem.
Bhowmik hoped that the 5th international cultural and tourism festival will strengthen the bilateral relationships within the participating countries. All the SAARC countries are invited to the festival.
