KHOWAI, May 18 (TIWN): The second class Judicial Magistrate Court Judge on Sunday has send kidnapper of a minor girl to 7 days Jail Custody. Police detained thekidnapper on Saturday night detained the kidnapper identified as Ratan Gaur (22) son of Sundar Singh Gaur on charge of kidnapping a minor girl on March 28.

The incident occurred on April 3 after victim’s father Sujit Debnath had lodged a complaint with the Khowai police station alleging that Ratan Gour has kidnapped his daughter who is a student while returning home on the day of her last examination.

According to the complaint lodged by victim’s father, a group of miscreants took the girl in a car with the alleged involvement of Ratan Gaur. The case (32/2015) was registered under section 366 (A) of IPC.

However, later following the complaint a vast contingent of police from Khowai police station led by SDPO Jyotishmoy Das Chowdhury, SI Ranjit Debbarma and others with the help of Kailasahar police rescued the kidnapped girl and detained the kidnapper from Jaganathpur tea garden are.

The girl was kidnapped from Khowai Ganki area on March 28, while she was returning her home from school.
