AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Friday inaugurated an exhibition on a visionary artist and poet Rabindranath Tagore at Tripura State Museum. The exhibition was organized by Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA) in collaboration with Tripura State Museum.
The exhibition on Tagore had begun from Friday and would continue till May 31, 2015 during the office hours.
However, the basic objective of the exhibition is to invite attention of various researchers about resources available on Rabindranath Tagore at IGNCA Kala Nidhi reference library.
Around 100 visuals of digitized collections from Santiniketan, ‘Shesh Boisher Priya’ a collection of select paintings by Gurudev himself and poems from Gitanjali and his other collections reflecting various moods of man, nature has been displayed in the exhibition.
IGNCA Assistant Professor Virendra Bangroo, along with other dignitaries remained present in the opening programme of the exhibition.
