AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): Demanding for an immediate transfer of existing Dr. Manik Chakroborty for his irregularity duties and his non co-operative behavior to patients at Barjala Ayurvedic dispensary and retain Dr. Saibal Pandit, the Barjala local committee BJP supporters on Friday staged the VIP road blockade at Barjala under Ward No. 1.

The BJP local wing has also demanded for the issuance road permit of Auto rickshaw from Barjala High School to Agartala GBP Hospital.

The locals claimed that they are compelled to face various problems during rainy season as well as in the night, as there are no other alternative roads to ply on with the patients especially.

However, drawing the attention of the Transport Minister Manik Dey the BJP Barjala Committee appealed to take a necessary step to restrict the hurdles of the common mass of the concerned area.

On behalf of the inhabitants of Ward No. 1 the Barjala BJP divisional Committee had also demanded for repairing of all the roads and by-lane at the concerned area.

The locals claimed that they have to face several hurdles everyday during the night hours especially due to bad condition of the road and irregular lighting of street lights.    

However, later SDPO Sadar Rajendra Dutta getting an alarm rushed to the spot and assured the protestors to take up the matter with the department and has withdrawn the blockade that has stranded several hundred vehicles on Friday at Barjala.
