AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): In yet another plan for holding Tripura next to the world’s corner, initiatives were taken up to set up International Stadium very soon. In the meantime, the construction work of this stadium would be undertaken by the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA). Tripura already has a stadium named after HH Maharajah Bir Bikram Manikya. However, that is not of international standard. Hence, a decision by TCA to set up another has been initiated.

Recently, Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Agartala, India. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches. The stadium holds 30,000 people and was built in 1998.T he stadium is named after former king of Tripura Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur. The ground is located Maharaja Bir Bikram College campus. The MBB Cricket Stadium lies just opposite to the college's main block and is almost spread throughout the area.
