AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Ganatantrik Jukta Front (GJF), Agartala on Thursday placing a deputation with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) at police Head quarter seeks justice to the rape case of Maya Rani Namah, occurred on July 8, 2015. The organization alleged that inspite of taking a stock of the situation after the incident no Minister, MLAs and the Tripura Commission for Women (TCW) has taken a necessary step to arrest the culprit.
Besides, the organization also seeks justice with proper investigation to land dispute case where one Mohammad Kamal Khan a resident of Kailasahar under Unakoti District was unnecessarily threatened by Congress Panchayat Member Najmul Hussain and CPI-M Panchayat Member Badsha Miah along with other people.
GJF members alleged that over a land dispute issue the accused party members and others had also threatened innocent Kamal Khan to kill if he does not pay them hefty amount.
They had also lodged an FIR against Kamal Khan without any reason and have been trying to trap him. Besides, the Kailsahar OC Sabir Ahmed registering the false case against Kamal Khan acting on behest of the party leaders trying to strengthen the case so that Khan could get no bail.
However issuing this the GJF has knocked the door of Police Head quarter on Thursday to seek proper investigation to the matter.
