AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): The gas bottling plant at Bishalgarh is likely to start supplying gas within next 3 to four days.
According to official source, the gas bottling plant at Bishalgarh was put on shut down following a mishap- major crack on a pipeline on May 9. The pipeline is used to store LPG from bullets.
After the mishap, gas bottling was suspended as part of precautionary measure. At present a total of 12 member team of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) led by Prakesh Chandra Das are inspecting the cause of major crack of the pipeline.
It’s obvious that LPG scarcity will hit the state as the state has lone gas bottling plant.
"We are trying our level best to restore the system as early as possible in view of the scarcity of LPG cylinders here in Tripura, the official source said.
It is to be mentioned here that engineers and other technicians had tried to restore the service but could not. Keeping in view of the impending scarcity of LPG, Plant Manager G. Adhikari has already informed the matter to Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and the state government authority.
