AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Maintaining the need of teachers’ training at the state the Left front govt. here has introduced another College of Teachers’ Education at Kumarghat, outskirts of Agartala. The college has recently got the affiliation from National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), said Education Minister Tapan Chakroborty.
Talking to the reporters here at the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday evening, Chakroborty said, “The academic session of the college would start from the month of June this year.”
Adding to that he also mentioned that teachers have already been appointed for the college and with an intake capacity of a total of 100 students the college would start the admission procedure form June, 2015.
Temporarily the present Principal of Agartala B. Ed college would take an additional charge of the newly build college at Kumarghat, said Chakroborty. He also said that within a very big campus separate hiostels for boys and girls have also been constructed to give better accommodation to the students.
The College for Teachers’ Education has been built up at Sukantanagar of Kumarghat. There will be hostel for boys and girl students and quarters for principal and teachers at the college complex.
