AGARTALA, May 13 (TIWN): Taking up the issue of the shortage of staffs under Tripura Urban Directorate, the cabinet on Tuesday decided to create a total of 12 posts under the department.
Talking to the reporters at the civil secretariat on Tuesday Urban Development Minister Manik Dey informed that the cabinet has decided to fill up the vacant posts under the urban directorate recruiting at least 4 Junior Research Assistant, 2 Lower Division Clerk (LDC), 4 Nigh Guards and another 2 posts for Class – IV category staffs.
He said that there are very less staffs in the urban directorate department as a result the works has come to a halt with a very slow progress, following which the cabinet on Tuesday has decided to create posts under the department very soon.
However Minister further informed that the cabinet has also decided to create another 4 posts of Junior Engineers (Diploma in Civil Engineering).
The junior engineers would be recruited with one post each for Panisagar Nagar Panchayat, Jirania Nagar Panchayat, Melagarh Municipal Council and Mohonpur Municipal Council, Dey said.
