KAMALPUR, MAY 12 (TIWN): The reckoning embezzlement of deposits in Small Savings scheme under Noagaon branch post office is likely to have a conclusion soon. According to a highly placed source at Dhalai Police, the accused duo namely Branch In-charge Anita Dey and peon Manjukumar Bhattacjarjee will be booked soon by police. But the issue of returning of deposits to the depositors still remains a question.
Almost a month ago, the incident of huge embezzlement in Noagaon branch post office under Kamalpur unearthed and primarily the amount was decided to be more than 7, 00,000 of rupees. The Inspector of Posts Sakir Ahamed started the investigation and still he is at Kamalpur. But the irony of the incident is that, the depositors still cannot overcome the fear of losing their hard-earned money. Moreover, the role of Sub Post Master, Overseer and Inspector cannot be left out of scanner. In this scenario, Sakir Ahamed assured police of filing complaint within next two days. Police also get ready to nab the accused duo.
