Kailasahar March 25 (TIWN): National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAC) team from Bengal has visited the Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya College at Kailasahar. After every 5 years the NAC team is used to visit the various colleges to investigate the papers and documents of the respective colleges to upgrade the college into ABC order. Principal of the college, Sambhunath Rakshit informed this while addressing a press meet.
Mr. Rakshit told that the team had visited the College for 3 days from March 19 to March 21. During their visit, they examined all the reports of the College and expressed little bit of dissatisfaction. On behalf of the College, the authorities had submitted 374 pages reports containing all documents to the team. It is to be mentioned that in the year 2003, the NAAC team had visited the College, but in 2009, due to lack of infrastructure , it was not possible for College to invite them. Recently the college has been prevailing C grade order. This grade is necessary for providing the facilities of University Grants Commission.
Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya was founded in 1950. It is the first private and second oldest college in the state. It became a full-fledged government college since January 1982. A peer team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore visited the college in August 2004 and accredited the college, C++.
