KHOWAI, March 19 (TIWN): Another case of brutality,decaying morale of society is witnessed in the so called golden era of Tripura. A son was brutally killed by father at Khowai’s Rathtilla area on Tuesday night. However, the accused father was sent to 18 days jail custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Khowai.

Sources informed that on tuesday night, at near about 8.00 p.m son Bishu Saontal (21) after returning home from the market witnessed his father Runu Saontal in a fully drunken position.

Witnessing the father in such a condition, Bishu Saontal scolded his father. In the meantime, on counter argument between each other, father Runu Saontal attacked son Bishu with chopper (Dao in local language) on neck. Immediately the neck of the son gets cut off from the head which led him died at the spot.

Khowai OC, Narayan Chakraborty along with SDPO Jyotisman Das Chowdhury and police forces rushed to the spot and arrested the accused father. On wednesday morning, after the post mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members. While, Runu was produced before the Khowai CJM Court where he was sentenced on 18 days Jail Custody.
