BELONIA, March 17 (TIWN): In an attempt to provide basic facilities like education and health to people living in border areas of Tripura, the Border Security Force (BSF), which runs a Civic Action Programme in border villages, the 168th battalion BSF on Monday distributed 8 sintex water tanks, 14 water filters at Devipur and Galachipa J.B. School.
"Such initiatives would definitely help develop good relations and also help in curbing border crime. They will also help the youth lead a better life," said Second in Command of the 168th battalion BSF Ajoy Kumar Mishra.
"Such activities will improve relations between the villagers and the BSF and also help in curbing border crimes. The new generation will walk the path of development," said Subrata Debnath, a teacher.
The Civic Action Programme by the Border Force aims to inculcate a sense of security by developing cordial relations and harnessing co-operation with villagers living in border areas.
