Agartala, March 10 (TIWN): The five days long Khowai Book Fair will commemce from March 11 and continue upto March 15. Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative assembly, Pabitra Kar will inaugurate the fair.

Thousands of avid readers flocked to the upcoming 5 days book fair in Khowai that not only displays books of the state, but also provides a platform for an interaction between both readers and writers.Book fairs are obviously a big thing for all areas, particularly for backward places like us. First and foremost it gives a big exposure to the new books that are coming out, and it also encourages new writers. This is one of the best platforms for interaction between the writers and the readers.

After few days, five-day long 12th book fair will be inaugurated at Kamalpur on March 28. To mark the book fair, a preparatory meeting was held at the Nagar Panchayat conference hall here on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by the vice chairman of Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat- Birendra Paul while members- Amal Majumder and Sunil Das, eminent social activists Suma Saha, Ranbijoy Datta, Bijit Debnath and Aniruddha Dey and many other locals attended the meeting. To make the book fair a grand success, as many as 12 sub-committees were constituted in the preparatory meeting. Altogether 12 stalls will be opened in the book fair and poet-summit, awareness programme on women and children will be organized during the five-day book fair.
