UDAIPUR, March 9 (TIWN): A 40-year-old woman was burnt alive after some unknown miscreants set her on fire in her house at Phoolkumari in Udaipur. The incident took place at Phoolkumari area on March 7th.
According to sources, some unknown miscreants entered the house of Shilpi Shil (40) wife of Bimal Shil (55) resident of Phoolkumari area in Udaipur and set her on fire.
According to the eyewitness one Tinku Dey was seen coming out from the house of Shilpi Shil (40) during the incident.
A police officer said that some villager saw that Shilpi Shil was engulfed in flames following which they informed the police. They also tried to rescue the woman, but she was charred to death.
After getting the information two fire tenders along with police personnel rushed to the spot and immediately shifted her to Tapania hospital from where she was referred to GB hospital where in the attending doctors declared her brought dead.
