Udaipur, March 5 (TIWN): Girl-Child-Education, which has become a very compulsory part of any society’s development, hence Tripura should be on the top of it, as this state is now on the high for its highest literacy rate.
On wednesday when this correspondant surveyed few top most schools in State, it was shocking.
For class nine students’ ratio of those schools; and in maximum schools the number of girls are less than the number of boys, either in the Government schools or in the privates.
Name of the School Girls : Boys
Assam Rifles School(Udaipur, Police line) : 8 : 15
Sri Krishna Mission school (Agartala) : 100 : 124
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (Banduar) : 30 : 45
Udaipur English Medium H.S. School : 48 : 64
Garia Academy(Model) (Atharobla) : 16 : 44
Rangamura Upper High School(Melaghar): 15 : 14
If the student ratio of the schools of town areas are like this, what would be the face of villages in Tripura ? This is an alarming scene of our developing society.
State Govt's Education Dept need to take more pro-active steps to increase participation of girl students in schools.
