KHOWAI, March 4 (TIWN): The Khowai Police on Tuesday arrested three youths in connection with the kidnapping of a teenager girl from Chamubasti, under PS Champahawar.

According to source, a teenager girl was kidnapped on Monday from Chamubasti, under PS Champahawar. Father of the girl lodged a complaint at Champahawar Police Station. Accordingly the Police started investigation into the incident and detained three suspected youths namely Bijoy Namashudra, Mithun Namashudra and Raju Sarkar for interrogation.  All the three youths were produced before the Khowai court today and the court sent then to 14 days of Jail Custody (JC), the source added.  

The source further said that the kidnapped girl is yet to rescue from the clutches of the kidnappers. Information indicates that the school girl of class nine hailed from village Chamubasti, Banbazar under Khowai sub division went out from the house to collect notes for examination from her friend house.

The girl was kidnapped on her way back to home on Monday evening. Police raided all possible places of Assarambari, Banbazar and Khowai town for rescue of the kidnapped girl and to nab the kidnappers. But till now police have failed to rescue the girl.
