AGARTALA, February 27 (TIWN): Congress today organized sit-in-demonstration against the unruly behavior of the state government with the officials of Ambassa Municipal Council at Ambassa.

Taking to TIWN today PCC president Birajit Sinha said the Ambassa Municipal Council is under control as it is run by congress due to this the state government is not providing any kind of facilities to Ambassa Municipal Council.

He further said that as the Ambassa Municipal Council is run by congress the state government is not providing sufficient fund. As a result no development works are taking place at Ambassa.

He also criticized the CPI (M) led state government over issues of spurious-drug, atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order, underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees.

The 22-year misrule has resulted in the state being labeled the least developed state in the country. Corruption has mushroomed in every sphere, he claimed.
