AGARTALA, February 26 (TIWN): Centering the issue of transfer of school teachers of the Rajnagar colony Higher Secondary school, students started agitation with a demand of posting eleven teachers in the school for the last couple of days.

Voicing in protest against transfer order of eleven teachers from the said school at a time out of total 20 the teachers posted there, students started agitation.

Students of the school kept the school gate under lock and key yesterday as a part of their first step of agitation. Students demanded immediate posting of eleven teachers in the school against transfer of eleven teachers from this school.

Meanwhile students gave deputation to Deputy Director Education, south district and Minister for Health and PWD. Two teachers already joined in the Rajnagar colony HS School. Deputy Director, south district assured the student delegation during their deputation that three more teachers are scheduled to join the school soon. But the students remain adamant on their demand of posting of the total strength. Students also gave an ultimatum to Deputy Director Education south district that unless all eleven teachers are posted in the school they will put road blockade.
