Udaipur/Kakraban, February 24 (TIWN): Police of Kakraban police station arrested a primary school teacher with the charge of rape attempt on Tuesday morning.

According to police, Chandan Paul, a teacher of Doodh Puskarani HS School located at Udaipur under Kakraban police station, reportedly attempted to rape a minor student of class-V of the same school during the leisure period on February 21.

Since then, the victim denied to attend the school with physical problem. Following the matter, her parents forced her to disclose the truth and the minor girl detailed about the incident to her parents.

As a result, the parents of the victim girl informed about the concern to a section of locals and received no constructive response from them.

Later, the father of victim student lodged an FIR against the school teacher Chandan Paul at Kakraban police station (Kakraban PS case no- 17/2015).

Though, a section of CPI-M’s local leaders tried to hide the matter from view but the police today arrested the culprit teacher from the school based on the complaint of minor girl’s father.
