KAMALPUR, Feb 17 (TIWN): Amidst a spellbound silence and prevailing grief the funeral of the deceased MLA and former Urban Development Minister Sudhir Das was completed in his residence at Kalachari today. Around 11 am a silent procession with the corpse of the deceased marched from Manikbhander towards his residence at Kalachari.

In his house, the family members paid him tributes amidst the tears. Then party leaders like Minister Ratan Bhowmik, CPIM District Secretary Pankaj Chakraborty, DM Dr. Milind Ramteke, SDM R. H. Kumar and others paid their last tribute. Then the jawans of TSR 3^rd Battalion paid Guard of Honor to the deceased. After that, the corpse was cremated at the residence.
