Agartala, Feb 12 (TIWN):Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman today criticized the State Budget 2015-16 terming it completely anti-poor and having no hope for the unemployed youths.
He alleged that the State Finance Minister, Bhanu Lal Saha has failed to satisfy common man, as very little amount has been allotted for the ST and other Backward classes..
“There is no hope in budget for the unemployed educated youths in the State and those who are protesting in the streets. It is a joke with the tribals besides the common man, who have been always neglected by the successive Governments”, said Barman .
He further alleged the Finance Minister never took pain to have pre consultation on budget with all parties in the State which is general practice in other States of the country.
Tripura Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha presented a Rs.149.48 billion tax-free budget on Wednesday for the 2015-16 fiscal with a deficit of Rs.1.89 billion.
No new taxes have been proposed and no increase of existing taxes projected in the budget, presented on the fourth day of the month-long budget session of the state assembly.
