Kamalpur: Construction works under Education Inspectorate below quality: RD engineers doing at will: Authority reluctant

KAMALPUR, Feb. 12 (TIWN): The construction of different school buildings and others are under huge allegation of below standard and embezzlement. The Engineers of RD Department, who are entitled as Implementing Officers for last two fiscals, are doing at their will.
More seriously, those engineers are not informing or co-operating the In-charges of Schools even after repeated requests. The authority remains reluctant in complete matter.
After a prolonged and repeated allegations of corruption against the departmental engineers, from the 2013-14 fiscal, the charge of school related constructions has been shifted to RD engineers. In last fiscal and in the present one, a total of 45 school rooms, 10 boundaries and 20 toilet blocks have been constructed by the engineers.
In almost every case, lots of complaints arose after the completion of works. Hurried completion, low quality materials and poor observation have turned every work a matter of concern.
From different strata, the matter has been brought into the notice of the Inspector of Schools as well as the authority of RD. But no results so far.
