Agartala, February 11 (TIWN): NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) - 2015, a national level entrance test will be conducted by NIT Agartala for second consecutive year from 10 am to 12 noon on May 31.
The national level NIMCET will be held for the admission in Master of Computer Application (MCA) programme. Altogether 11 NITs of Agartala, Bhopal, Allahabad, Calicut, Durgapur, Raipur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal offer MCA programme.
A total of 20 centers in different places across the country have been chosen for conducting the entrance test. As many as 867 seats of MCA programme covering 11 institutes will be filled up according to the rank obtained by the students in NIMCET 2015.
The apex committee of NIMCET- 2014 in its exit meeting has entrusted NIT Agartala to conduct NIMCET- 2015 as host institute for the second time. The chairman of NIMCET- 2015, Prof. Gopal Mugeraya, Director of NIT Agartala and all other committee members have taken keen efforts to carry out the test fruitfully.
As a part, a cultural event titled ‘Adwityam’ will be held from today to February 15. The main objective of the programme is to promote the state’s cultural inheritance. Besides, a free medical camp will be conducted at NIT premises on February 14. The information was provided in gazette statement by NIT.
