AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Tension escalated in Khumulwng ahead of Tripura ADC polls amid ongoing clashes between ruling BJP party and its alliance partner Tipra Motha. For the last few weeks, both parties faced internal disturbances and on Thursday BJP supporter Sahid Debbarma’s house located at Jaykrishna Kabra Para in Khumulwng was attacked by miscreants.

Sahid Debbarma was not present when the attack took place. Not getting him, the miscreants attacked his wife, vandalized his house, damaged furniture, electronic items including TV, Refrigerator.

A huge number of police personnel were deployed at Sahid Debbarma’s house area. 

Security has been tightened in Khumulwng as tension prevails among the locals.

Allegations have been raised against Tipra Motha party for organizing the attack.
