AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): This is not the first time that Tripura CM Manik Saha was praising the indigenous youth population for their talents in sports, when he was speaking at a Tribal Welfare Dept program at Agartala Rabindra Bhawan. However, the CM also expressed concerns over the increasing drug abuses in the society, which he thinks is a big conspiracy to ruin the youth in the state.
Saha appealed to everyone to come forward to help the administration to make the state a drug-free state.
He assured that the government will continue to put efforts to improve the infrastructure in the state.
“Football is a game. Drugs are shame……. let this slogan continue to inspire our youth to shift their focus from drugs to sports,” said CM , appealing to society to move forward to end the drug addiction trend.
Saha mentioned about football stadiums’ inauguration, adding that the government is investing Rs. 19 crores for the hostels.
