AGARTALA, Oct 22 (TIWN): BJP activists were allegedly attacked by miscreants on Wednesday when they were on way to a rally in Takarjala. The incident happened when the BJP supporters on vehicles were going to attend CM Manik Saha’s program. According to the BJP two separate programs were on schedule today organized by the BJP party. One was the Mandal party office inauguration in Takarjala and another rally was in Jampuijala. The incident happened at Khumtia Bazar area. Injured people have been admitted to the local hospital in Jirania. The BJP party condemned the attack, and indicated Tipra Motha was behind the attack.

People came from various parts of the state but many alleged they initially faced problems to get vehicles for the program that included high vehicle fare, objection for reserve vehicles, threats to the drivers, etc but still even after facing all these issues when the BJP supporters could make their way to their destination, stone pelting, and unexpected attacks left people in vehicles frightened and injured.

The incident happened a day before the Tripura Strike called by Tipra Motha MLA Ranjit Debbbarma. 

BJP said, people will give their answer through votes.
