AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): Recently, a large quantity of drugs were supplied through a train in Agartala and huge quantities of drugs were seized from the Railway's secured areas. This has triggered controversy over Railway security whereas allegations are being raised if this operation was connected with a high profile scam. As so far nobody was arrested by Railway police and no name behind the incident could be revealed, DYFI placed a deputation to the Railway authority asking immediate action against this incident and the names of the culprits should be published soon.

“This is concerning that even after such a big incident like this, the authorities failed to name any person who is involved in this racket,” said DYFI leader Nabarun Deb.

“We want to know who is targeting our state with drugs. The culprits can not trade those drugs without help of hierarchy," said Deb expressing doubt on the governmental higher authority’s involvement. “Today the whole state is ruined due to drugs and the trade is not limited to vehicles as drugs are now coming through the Indian railway.”

“The people who are involved in this activity must be very powerful and that’s why their names are not being revealed. We appeal to the authorities to arrest and reveal their names,” Deb told the media.
