AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): West District Police Superintendent appealed to all cellphone users to get their phones registered to Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) stating, it helps police to recover the stolen phones as it enables police to track the phones’ locations. West Agartala Police handed over 30 cellphones to the actual owners.
Police on the occasion of Diwali returned a total 30 mobile phones to the original owners and out of them 16 were recovered through CEIR technology.
8 phones were recovered through ‘analysis’ whereas 6 were from case connections.
